Premise

The construction of an HBC system cannot be separated from an accurate preliminary study involving both the structure and the foundation soil. The preventive studies are aimed both at verifying the causes of the failures and at determining the parameters necessary for the sizing of the system.

In general, the following documents must be produced:

  • general plan of the building
  • relief of the cracking state
  • survey of the supporting structure and foundations of the building
  • analysis of the loads on the structure and determination of the values and distribution of the pressures on the ground
  • survey of the progress of sewers and any underground systems (and relative depths)
  • detailed stratigraphy of the significant volume of the foundation soil
  • Atterberg limits including the withdrawal limit
  • particle size analysis including sedimentation
  • value of blue

Based on the aforementioned preliminary studies, HBC is able to design and size the optimal system and provide the related economic offer. The aforementioned documents can be produced by trusted technicians of the Client but can also be commissioned directly to HBC.

The HBC technical office is available to provide all the necessary support to the Client's technicians during the preliminary studies.

Preventive study approach aimed at the construction of a plant with HBC SYSTEM

  1. complete survey of the cracking state
  2. relief of the supporting structure
  3. survey of the foundations (type, size, depth, consistency)
  4. accurate survey of the surrounding conditions (pavements, paved courtyards alternating with green areas, trees, unevenness, slopes, partial basements, wells, ditches, etc.)
  5. geological and geotechnical framework:

  6. historical analysis, i.e. collection of all available information

  7. screening and correlation of all available information for:

  8. possible monitoring of the crack state
  • general information and guidance on geotechnical investigations
  • detailed stratigraphy
  • presence of groundwater (real and ephemeral)
  • granulometry
  • clay content
  • permability
  • Atterberg limits
  • linear shrinkage
  • natural moisture profile with depth
  • interventions on the structure (extensions, elevations, modifications, consolidations)
  • general maintenance interventions (new flooring, cut trees, trenchers, drainages, wells
  • plant leaks and repairs (aqueduct, downspouts, sewers)
  • recognize the kinematics
  • predict its probable evolution
  • identify the causes of the failure
